Volunteering here at Boots and Beats means that you will genuinely be a part of something special. We are a very unique project; delivered by Greater Manchester Youth Network, funded by Cityzens Giving and supported by City in the Community.

We have built the foundations of this project on the belief that ALL young people achieve their potential and shape their futures. As part of a dedicated and passionate team you will be helping to make a difference to the lives of young people in Greater Manchester by tackling unemployment head on through engaging others in music and football activities, building confidence, developing skills and supporting them with opportunities.

Below are just a few of the reasons why we think you should join us.

Our values:
To enrich the lives of young people with creative, inspiring and motivational activities.

Benefits:
Working with a fantastic diverse team that are supportive of each other. Free uniform and merchandise so you are visibly a Boots and Beats volunteer. Something great to put on your CV.

Training:
Weekly development meetings to support you in your role. Free tailored training opportunities to develop your skills. Residential or day trips to broaden your experiences.

All this and much more!

What we would like from you:

  • A ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to have a go
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to interact with different groups of people from diverse backgrounds
  • An ability to create your own activities and put forward ideas
  • A team player – happy to work alongside others
  • A passion or interest in how projects develop and run behind the scenes

Please note that this is a voluntary role, although travel expenses will be paid. The monthly commitment is between 5 – 10 hours depending on your availability.
